Everytime I try to turn the webcam on, it's green and black and you can hardly see anything. I tried asking the webcam company, and they said try messing with the B and R bars. It worked before but now it's acting up again and I can't move the bars. Does anybody know any other way to fix the background?

just delete the driver and reinstall it. something is corrupted. its usually me.lol

Grab all the documents including the handbook that came with the web-cam. Re-boot your computer and re-connect the connections from the computer to the web cam. Depending on the type of adjustable knobs i.e. brightness, contrast, tint, color, blackness level it sounds to me like it's just an adjustment problem. Turn all of the knobs counterclockwise, then 50% to center and see if you can see your self, then make some minor adjustments. Or, you could put on your favorite dress and yell out the window for a local computer geek on campus, lol. Your bound to find one at UM. Happy Birthday.

sorry, try to use an A4tech webcam, it is much more cheaper and user freindly too, mine no trouble at all, than going thru all the hassles like you
