what to do about a jammed Playstation 2?

I haven't used my Playstation 2 in a while, when i decided to start playing again i noticed that the disk drive was jammed. It would not go back in or out on it's own. I was wondering if there was a way to un-jam the drive without damaging the system.

go to an automotive store and get some lithuim greease in a tube and put it on the gears that work the tray. should do the trick

just throw it away and buy a new one
