Hey I have her about Rivrerdance but never had an opportunity to do it. But can you tell me more about the Riverdance itself? Is it a cultural tradition dance or what?

But I definetly don't think it weird. Ya should bring that up tp your school and find people who do riverdance then it become a club for your school. : )

GIRL, you do what you want to do, I am sorry there are no schools that are into it, but depending on where you live, big city or suburbs?? Check the area out and make sure there are no dance schools that wont start a group or know of a group involved in the style of dance. I think it's cool and different for the states, just because it isn't well known here doesn't mean that in the future it won't be.....Maybe you will have a hand in making "RiverDance" a style of dance that is practiced here regularily!!!! Who Know's!!! Go for it..

i've been doing irish dancing since i was three, i've been all over the world and have met thousands of irish dance lovers, i went 2 the worlds three times (sorry 2 boast but i am so proud of it and so should you) : )
these events could not take place if so many people did not like it, there are millions of irish dancers world wide.
i gave up three years ago and after realsing i missed it sooo much i went back last month, my fitness is awful but the love is still there.
riverdance and lord of the dance would not of been such a big hit (actually the most successful dance show of all time) if so many were awestruck by it.
girl you have a talent, and at that an original talent, - not many people can say they have! and those people who take the mickey out of you for doing it are obviously jelous.
soooo -

dance then where ever you may be,
you ae the lord of the dance said she ;p

if you want 2 talk 2 me add me on msn -

I am absolutely awestruck by riverdance. I'm a dancer too and have done some tap and clogging (clogging is my absolute favorite - and maybe closer to Irish than tap is). My clogging team does a couple of routines from Lord of the Dance (Siamsa and Cry of the Celts) adapted for cloggers. But I was awestruck when I saw riverdance. Go for it!

Yes! I've seen Riverdance and Lord of the Dance twice and it was the most amazing thing of my life! I've taken dance classes since I was three years old, but have never had the opportunity to learn to riverdance. I would say definitely continue with it because it is amazing!

I've been doing Irish Step since i was in the 1st grade and will try to continue to do it because i think that is a unique thing that most people do find entertaining and that I do because I enjoy it. Don't hate something because the people around you don't find it interesting! That's what makes you who you are! Good luck in your feises!
