Chris and Lorelai met at summer camp when they were about 10 (both being from very established families). The two became quick friends (they also knew "Digger" Stiles at camp...) and lovers. Chris was Lorelai's first kiss and first love. They were 14 when they had their first kiss, it was raining (Chris reminisces in Wedding Bell Blues, the 100th episode, in season 5). At the age of 16, accompanied with many drinks of tequila, the two had intercourse. Richard thought it was best that they got married with the news of their pregnancy. Lorelai, knowing this would ruin not only her life, but Chris' also, she refused to wed him. Rory was born out of wedlock. Lorelai was destined to go to Yale as her father and other relatives had for years before, and Chris was destined for Princeton, as his father and relatives had. A year after Rory was born; Lorelai moved out of the elder Gilmores house and found their way to Stars Hollow. Lorelai worked at the Independence Inn as a maid for Mia. Since then, Chris has popped in occasionally to see his "Gilmore girls." He's tried numerous times to settle down with Lorelai so he, she, and Rory could become the family they were meant to be, but something always stood in the way, be it Chris impregnating Sherry or other men in Lorelai's life, it just never fell into place. Lorelai knew no matter how many times Christopher uttered the words "I'm ready to settle down and be a family, Lor" that he would just leave after getting restless.

Lorelai Gilmore and Christopher Hayden grew up together, going to the same elite parties and such. They first kissed when they were 14, and Lorelai said "I just wanted to see what it felt like." They dated, partyed, and drank together constantly, until they were 16 when Lorelai got pregnant. Christopher's parents demanded that Lorelai get an abortion, and Richard and Emily demanded that they get married. The young couple did neither. Instead, Lorelai kept the baby (named Lorelai, Rory for short) and lived with Richard and Emily until Lorelai got tired of them and ran away to Stars Hollow. Christopher didn't go to Princeton, as his father had planned, but both he and Lorelai claim that that wasn't because of their child. Christopher later moved to Boston, and never came to visit Lorelai and Rory until his daughter was 16 years old. Then Christopher's parents met up with Richard, Emily, Christopher, Lorelai, and Rory to have dinner, and it ended with Lorelai and Christopher in the same position in which they conceived Rory. Christopher later married Sherry, who had a baby, and then ran off a year or two later. He shows up about 2 or 3 times a season, and almost every time ends up with Lorelai, but leaves her. Personally, I think that they're meant for each other, but the writers think otherwise... sigh... I wonder what will happen with the new writer next season... hmm...

Unfortunately this upcoming season will probably be the last; the Palladinos didn't sign on to write it anymore. Now, on to your question:
Chris and Lorelai were high school sweeties, she got pregnant at 16 after having a bunch of drinks one afternoon when her parents weren't home. They are still close. Try http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/show.cgi?show=25

Lorelei and Christopher dated in high school. When Lorelei became pregnant at 16, Christopher was more than willing to marry her. Lorelei did not want to. Christopher is sometimes more present in their lives than others and has always had a deep bond and connection with Lorelei. I think he has always hoped they would end up together.

In season 3 (i think) it goes back in time and shows the day when her and Chris were home alone, then it shows when Loreali had Rory. It may help you. The episode is called "Dear Emily and Richard" episode #13. I hope this helps you!!!
