Michael Schumacher made a genuine mistake (during the final stages of qualifying) at Monaco, just like he did when he drove Damon Hill, Mika Hakkinen and Jacques Villeneuve off the track.
You don't make a 'genuine mistake' when, at one point on that last lap, you brake 50 percent harder than on the pole position lap.

As much as I like schumi it is tough to digest the fact that that was a genuine mistake. Though the treatment wasn't fair. look at fisichella and a lot of things were not right at the monaco gp which robbed schumi of a better result

It was a genuine mistake to try and pull that kind of old school "bad guy" F1 crap. I was embarrassed for him, Ferrari and because my son idealized him and now is questioning it. He is suppose to be the best driver in the world. That could have flown in the Hill and Hakkinen era but we're in the Alonso "good guy" era now and it just made him, his team look REALLY bad.

It you think that was a genuine mistake then you belong in la la land with that chump. Look at his past, not only in f1 but also mercedes group c. That guy is a major tool.
