You can go to a farm supply store and buy the materials ( its only cost effective if your making more than one cage though) or you can go to any store and buy some NIC cubes and make a cage, I highly recommend this site http://www.cavycages.com/

A rubbermaid container does not provide the amount of room necessary for a guinea pig. Please consider building a cube cage like the ones found on cavycages.com as suggested by previous posters. It really is cheap and easy to make. The best choice for a guinea pig!

Guinea pigs have delicate feet so you need to have a smooth surface for them. A plastic tote box, large size, from a store works well but cages aren't that expensive. Also look for cages at garage sales. Type in "cavies" into Google and there will be lots of useful info.

You could go buy some cheap fencing in the measurement you would like (in four pieces). Also find some cheap plywood or whatever kind of wood you would like.First, use strong nails or glue to connect the fencing. Second, nail the wood around the built fence cage. After you have assembled the cage, you can also get a hinge to make a door so you can get your guinea pig out!(When you are making the door you can cut the place's fencing and use the hinge to connect it)

Well guinea pigs are kind of similar to rabbits(i had a rabbit) so i built a cage for it and i just used wire and then i built a house for it and stuff. it is pretty simple.
