We never grow up, our toys just get more expensive.

Men? Men? What are men?
Oh, you must mean those little boys in big bodies.
Waiting for a man to grow up is like watching a redwood tree grow. Unfortunately, many women marry children and expect a man to emerge. Don't waste your time waiting, especially if he is 33 and having a mid-life crisis before mid-life has even arrived.

Maybe, the day boys can get pregnant, they will become men, but do you hold out much belief that that is going to happen????

When they face terrible tragedy such as: child encounters medical problems, parents pass away, girlfriend/wife cheat.

Something needs to shock us into becoming responsible pillars of strength for when needy and poor family/friends come to whine.

Military is too late for him, send him out into the woods naked with a hunting knife and see if he comes back alive and a MAN man, or at least taunt him that he couldn't do it.

33 is a little early to be going through a mid-life crisis. That's the age that doctors are just starting out.

Give him a traumatic experience and he will mature fast.

33 is pretty young for a midlife crisis. Sounds more like he's tired of the rat race and feels like he has missed out on some of his youth. Did you get married young. I don't know what he's doing, you didn't explain. but as long as he is providing for the family and being a relatively good father and husband, try getting involved with him. it will bring the two of you closer together. If you turn into a shrew, it'll drive you apart.

men? grow up? you're getting your hopes up there a bit! My 30 year old fella has not even started growing up. My dad's almost 60 and he is more childish than his 3 grandsons, aged 13, 6 and 1.
Men won't grow up just because they have child to look after or anything like that. The 6 and 1 year olds are mine and my partner still thinks it's ok to spend more time with the computer or drinking with his mates than he spends with his family.

Erm...sorry to tell you this, but that's not his mid-life crisis, that's his "Oh God I'm 30" hangover. He won't get his mid-life crisis till about 40. Guys don't technically grow up. We grow a bit more savvy on doing things that give the appearance of maturity, but essentially we just seem to lurch from one childhood to another to another...

There is no such thing. Men mature, they don't grow up. As far as the mid-life crisis, I guess he will stop when the arthritis kicks in lol :)

They never really grow up! My suggestion to you would be to sit back and enjoy the ride. As long as this midlife crisis doesnt involve his secretary then go skydiving with him because before you know it he is going to be an old man. So go ahead buy the sportscar he wants just get the keys and drive it whenever you can, just because he wants to fell young doesnt mean that you shouldnt.

He's awfully young to be going thru a midlife crisis, but heregoes:
A man grows up when he accepts responsibilities for his actions and is accountable for what he does. Unfortunately - there is no age for this. It is only when one does these things they are grown up - this also applies to women.
