as a european i cannot understand why the usa gets a bad press from within and without if every country in the world was like the usa i believe it would be a better place to live in

OK, Lets me tell you some interesting news...
US soldiers attack to other countries with some nonsenses excuses, killing innocent people in Afghanistan, Iraq and threat other independent countries to invade.
They are in Iraq and Afghanistan right now and killing people everyday and looting Iraqi's oil.
The latest news is:
US Marines killed a lot of innocent people in Iraq, including children.... in middle of street.
If you follow news you can find a lot of subjects like these.

It sells papers. It is much like here. Bashing Bush sells papers. Look at the front pages of your media just a few days ago the same one bashing the USA are all lined up to get the dirt on Brad Pitt and Angelia's new baby.

Because it's easy to blame the USa for everything that goes on these days, plus they could use some ************ from time to time. Personally, I hate it when I'm visiting, say, and archaeological site and it's swarming with rednecks. I for one don't eat at McDonald's, Starbucks, et al, not out of hatred, but out of self-preservation (who in his/her sound mind would even think of munching a Big Merd?)

Because people think that the president reflects the people of the country, when really he only reflects less than 30% of the population. They see and realize that our country want to force other countries to be like ours.
