Let me give you some help here. I have helped with fundraiser pageants for the past 15 years. In our town we have a valentine's pageant for children age 2 years through senior class. All entries have to pay $15.00 to participate. We usually have around 130 girls participate. Additional money is made when you charge the audience $6.00 per person at the door when they come to see their darlings vie for the top position. We have 8 categories to break up the age groups from the little ones up to the Seniors. We have a winner in each category and second and third place runner ups. Trophy's are given to the winner in each category. A small participant trophies is given to each little one in their category since they cry if they don't get something. This works out well and the parents are pleased. We also have a professional photographer to take pictures. We also have refreshment stands with drinks and hot dogs, snacks, etc. This makes additional money for the organization. The judges are usually volunteers from schools in different towns to prevent anybody form picking favorites. Hope this helps.
