There are lots of excellent, affordable schools in this country. Here are some things to think about when narrowing down your search:

What part of the country do you want to live in? They all have a different climate, different subculture, and different activities available.

What do you want to study? This will help you determine which schools have the best programs for you.

What activities interest you? Some schools have great sports programs, others have lots of student clubs, others are centered around religion, and some are a combination of those things.

What type of student body do you want to be part of? Some schools are predominantly one race, gender, or religion; others have a mix of people.

How big do you want the school to be? We have schools that range from the very small (a few hundred students) to the very large, with tens of thousands of students.

Do you want a public or private school? Private schools are more expensive, but depending on your credentials, you may be able to get lots of aid from them or from outside scholarships. Public schools have state and federal aid available for those who qualify, and are cheaper.

My best answer to your question is to choose a community college to complete your first two years of general education.

Community colleges provide students an opportunity to get their first two years completed and can be transferred to most 4-year universities (please check with the community college to see if they have an articulation agreement).

A community college is way cheaper and you can be admitted as long as you have a high school diploma (so if you have a bad high school GPA or no or lousy SAT/ACT scores, don't worry!).

As for personal experience, I completed two years of community college, and after a couple of more years at a university, I am now a graduate, and entering grad school soon.

A comparison in California (resident (currently living in the state) tuition):
Community College: $26 per unit
State University: $1,200 for 6.1 units and above.

any local college is good. if anyone tells you that a name brand school is better then they are just bias. I went to one of the best tech school in Ohio for a year and quit because of the cost. Now that I am going to a local college near my home, I see that i made the right choice and do not regret anything. just do some research and ask a lot of questions.

It REALLY depends on what you want to do. I want to be an engineer and the best bang for your buck in california is cal poly san luis obispo. For a pre med/bio degree, UC Davis is the best. . . you can go on and on. You should probably ask yourself what degree you want to pursue before you ask the university question.

God won't be able to be considered by ability of the human eye. yet His eternal ability and divine personality are common and obviously considered by ability of the failings He has made. the very shown actuality that God won't be able to be considered does no longer recommend He won't be able to be common. yet, in case you've been to look on the order of issues as being held consistent by ability of the author, who created all issues, you are able to start to work out the God, who became and is functional sufficient to create any such acceptable position even even with the actuality that He won't be able to be considered without delay. Now faith is the peace of mind of issues became hoping for, the conviction of issues no longer considered. For by ability of it the boys of previous received approval. by ability of religion you keep in mind that the international with each and every acceptable creation became prepared by ability of the note of God, so as that what's considered became no longer made from issues that are seen...!
