Varnish is very slippery when wet.

yes but it depends on where you live if it is near the ocean or lake yes but in a dry area no the stuff in that varnish is for water and salt resistance and to much heat and dry weather will make the deck look worn. if you have a dry area use any deck varnish you can even get the cheap stuff to cover over the marine kind if you just want to use it anyways make sure you clean and prime or wash it first!

Yes but unless your deck is over or near water it isn't the best. It will be very slippery, use caution.
