She can walk and run everywhere, shes 13 months old. When did you fellow moms let your baby sit in a bathtub without a seat?

My son is almost 15 months and can walk and run and climb everywhere. He's been taking baths in a regular tub since he was about 12 months old.

Since your daughter is already mobile, go ahead and use a regular tub. Is she normal size...not small for her age? Just make sure there is a non-slip mat on the tub and don't leave her unattended! Babies can drown on inly a few inches of water.

I have a 2 years old baby, and I remember ler her sit alone in the the tub when she was 9 months or so, indeed, she was strong enough to hold herself. Off course I was all the time supervising her. So my friend I think she is ok now to sit without her seat in the tub.

When my daughter turned 1, I let her sit on the tub without a seat. She was more comfortable, and of course I don't put a lot of water in the tub. Plus I'm there while she's bathing, I never ever leave her on the tub by herself. She's 2 now.

It all depends on what you're comfortable with.

Sounds like she will do just fine without the seat. You will still need to be close by and teach her to sit in the tub. You also only want to put a little bit of water in the tub. (2-3in at the most) Once a baby can sit real well, they can be without the seat.

As long as she is strong enough to support herself sitting up and has the right amount of balancing skills, I think it's ok for her to sit in the tub without a seat. I think my daughter stopped sitting in one before she was a year old. Of course I sat right by the edge of the tub at all times! Never leave her unattended.

I let my little girl bathe without her tub when she was 8 months old, old enough to sit up and pull berself up onto things. Just so I know she can stand and hold on to the side of the tub on her own so I will have free hands if she slips.

Your toddler will attempt sitting up around 6 months even possibly 5 months and confident that is okay for the two toddlers to have a tub at the same time while he sits up on his very own, do exactly on no account take you eyes off of them.

I think she old enough to sit without a seat, but you should always stay by her side. If you have to leave take her out of the tub even if you can "swim".

I would advise not to let here sit without the seat until she is well over two years old. I didn't let my son until he was two and able to call me when he was ready to get out.

I just felt a little safer if he was able to stand up in the water on his own. But by all means never leave your child unattended. I have heard of many children drowning in just two inches of water.
