Why do americans follow this political correctness so blindly? We all watch what we say, and of course there are exceptions to some people who are allowed to speak thier minds. Does anyone know the origin of political correctness? it came from a theory of hitlers! so why do we follow this code, and who says what is politically correct or not? I think we need to speak our minds, and just get over the fact that some people wil just simply hate you, no matter if they know you or not!

It's really become something of a cancer on our culture and has definitely weakened us as a nation. Very sad. Just tell it like it is and always "keep it real." Sometimes the truth hurts!

I just try to avoid hurting someone's feelings. You have to guage whether the person you're talking to can take a joke about race or religion in general. Some people don't care and can joke around and some are very (a little overly maybe) sensitive.

Political correctness is stupid. It's an invention of collage professors who hate America. The liberals love it because you can't say anything about anyone unless they are white, christian or republican

We have been brain washed by mass media. Josef Stalin was the first person to use the term. He was however referring to loyalty not speech control.

i totally agree with you. i think we follow political correctness because society tells us to. we are too worried about peple not liking us. i could care less if someone didn't like me, especially if it were someone i didn't know. it doesn't matter as much that way.
