What kind of photo editing are you planning on doing?

Have you heard of Linux? It's a free alternative to Windows and Mac that comes with a Photoshop substitute program called GIMP. You can download thousands of additional programs for free. It is compatible with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You can even run many Windows programs on Linux.

The fastest computers in the world run Linux. Hollywood makes some of their animated movies with Linux. It does not get viruses like Windows, and doesn't cost a lot of money like Mac.

It's free and runs on either PC or Mac hardware.
