No, I think most people would agree that Chris Daughtry should have been the next American Idol. There has yet to be a rock Idol, which would have been perfect, as the Idols have all been of different musical styles, so far. The most probable reason for Taylor's win over Chris or Kathryn is that the voting demographic for American Idol is actually quite a bit older than intended audience.

I think Chris Should have won. Taylor is NOT that good of a singer...for real. He's also an atrocious dancer and looks like he's 40. I don't see him selling a lot of records cause he's really not that great to listen to; you kinda have to see him in concert to appreciate him any.
Katherine is a much better singer, but she's just way too generic. Just another L.A. size two pretty girl. It may have worked for Kelly and that one blonde girl (I can NEVER remember her name!) but people are tired of that now which is why I think she didn't win.

As opposed to Katherine, I'd have to say yes because I didn't like her voice in some performances. As for the overall competition, I think it should have been either Elliott, Paris, Mandisa or Gedeon(who should have made it to the top twelve instead of Bucky)
The only thing, now is that they have to market Taylor properly. The fans voted for "Soul Patrol", so his album shouldn't be "Pop Patrol".
I completely forgot to mention Chris. Yeah, I thought he was gonna win but for him to turn down an offer from Fuel, I don't think he needs the help as much as some of the others.

No, Taylor just won because he dances. He's not a good singer. Either Chris or Catherine should of won.

no, and notice how many people just on this question alone think Chris should've won. I think Chris was the best, and that he was "conveniently" booted off because he didn't fit their pop image.
