No they're not always honest. They present things they way that they want us to see them.

I don't really think the media is 100% honest. Because the media is being controlled by the democrats and leftists they tend to lean toward their side. I think they make out the president to be worse than he is for that reason. They make everything a big deal about the right wing and you rarely ever hear about the faults of the left wing.
As always, to grasp the attention of America the media - no matter who controls it- will tend to exaggerate what it really is to gain more viewers.
America is the media and the media is America. Without it, what would really happen?

The media is extremely biased and often craft stories to support their views. Most of the time, it is not honest.

While the honesty can be somewhat questionable at times its more how the media twist the truth to conform to their political ideologies and to help the owners bank balance.

I take the national news with a grain of salt, I think they have other motives. I think much of the local news is very close to real unbiased reporting.

Recently there have been investigations about certain news stories saying "positive" things about certain companies, when it was those companies that were paying to have them aired.

This is not news but one day this will be a common thing...

I believe they only present stories they believe are genuine, but it doesnt meant they dont ignore important facts that may make the information a little more mundane and less "newsworthy".

It depends on what news you watch. Fox News is completely controlled by the Repubs. Limbaugh and O'Reilly wouldn't know the truth if it bit them on their fat lying butts.

unfortunately American news must be censored bu homeland security. try getting your news from more sources than the American channels. Al jazeera(sp) is probably the most honest.
