OMG yes lol
I work as an optical assistant and one particular day I had a rumble in my tummy. As I got up to adjust a womans spectacles I let out what I was hoping would be a 'silent but violent' but instead let out one that seemed to go on for ever!!
She tried not to take any notice and it would have been ok except I burst out laughing and just said "oops, name that tune"
The poor woman tried to be diplomatic but when she reached for her tissue and put it across her nose and mouth I knew it was time to leave!!
I love little old ladies that fart in time to their footsteps............. they don't even realise they are doing it half the time and I can't do much for laughing!
Farts are funny no matter what age you are!

Yeah, I learned the hard way that squeezing your cheeks makes it louder, not silent. Lol.
Let it out slowly, in stages, until it's all gone. That's what I try to do. Farts are funny, but in public places with people who don't know you, you get so embarrassed...Lol.

A trumpeting sound huh?! Sounds like classical gas to me.
Never hold back a natural bodily function,...it could come back to haunt you.
Loud and proud, silent and violent,...it's all the same ol' sh*t to me! LOL!!!

Your questions are THE funniest!!! As for the questions, you could try to cough or make a noise, but everyone will still know it's you. Just act like you didn't hear anything. At least they'll second guess for a millisecond.

Who hasn't that happened to? Funny...I usually just try to make a joke out of it and then say "excuse me, but my stomach is not feeling well." It is embarassing at the time, but normally you get a laugh out of it later. And for those who judge you on such a thing...just say "What? You don't fart?" Everyone farts.

I was with my deaf grandmother, who's 87, in a doctors waiting room. Because she can't hear herself talk she sometimes says inappropriate things really loud. And she chose that time and place to discuss her battle with diarhea...All I could do was sink down in my chair and pretend I didn't know her.

When you get over 50, like me, it'll happen to you all the time, & you'll have to just learn to take it in stride.
