Standard Yahoo 10 team head 2 head league.
QB- Matt Hassalback
WR- Larry Fitzgerald
WR- Torry Holt
WR- Rod Smith
RB- Shaun Alexander
RB- Ruben Droughens
TE- Todd Heap
BN- DeShaun Foster
BN- Trent Green
BN- Joey Porter
BN- Isaac Bruce
K- Shayne Grahm
BN- Jeff Wilkins
DEF- Seattle
BN- Atlanta
I had a couple of thought.
1) probobly doesn't make much sense to have 2 kickers right (It was an autodraft)?
2) Is Atlanta's DEF good enough that I would ever play them except in Seattle's bye week? If not, then I should probobly drop them, right?
3) I should probobly platoon between Rod Smith and Joey Porter depending on who they are playing, right?
4) I should probobly platoon between Ruben Droughens and DeShaun Foster depending on who they are playing, right?
5) Should I pick up a backup TE? There are some decent ones on the WW right now (I have last wire position) like Marcus Pollard, Jermain Wiggans and Bubba Franks.
MUCH THANKS TO ALL.

I know everyone realized this, but I meant Jerry Porter, not Joey Porter.

1) If you want to drop one for another skill position go ahead. You have two pretty good kickers and they are usually a little easier to come by.
2) Atlanata added DE John Abraham from the Jets this offseason and S Lawyer Milloy both great pickups for an already good defence. You might wanna put that Seattle defence on the pine for awhile.
3) Rod Smith should become the #2 receiver behind Javon Walker so his numbers will probly go down to the level of an inconsistent Jerry Porter. You can platoon but i don't think you will be happy with the production or lack of. Holt and Fitzgerald are absolutely solid though so I wouldn't worry too much.
4) Both of these running backs are looking to go nowhere but up in Fantasy production. Reuben Droughens had a good year last year and is surrounded by a better team and Foster will get the bulk of the carries and should have his breakout year if he can stay healthy.
5) If you want to I would go for Pollard out of that list just because of the addition of Mike Martz to detroits formely lack luster offense.
Hope this helps.

1) No, drop the Kicker for a flyer (back up RB on a good running team, or a #2/#3 WR on a passing team.
2) DEF is specific to your scoring method. If it is heavy special teams (bonus points for KR/PR TD's), then you want to look at the teams that have a higher chnace of that (KC/NO/CHI). If it is a normal scoring method, which it probably is, I like ATL for their Sacks and Interceptions, and they might run a few back. You could do a lot worse than ATL. Keep them until a few weeks and then compare them against the WW. Someone might jump out.
3) Joey Porter? You drafted a LB? if so, drop him now. :) If you mean Jerry Porter, I would play him over Rod Smith, as Smith will have a down year this year.
4) Foster will have a nice year, as long as he can stay healthy. Droughens can't seem to find any consistance in the starting lineup, so I would play Foster. Look for Thomas Jones (CHI) as he might not have been drafted since he was benced for Benson. I see him getting traded to another team this year (maybe NYJ or GB).
5) You don't need a backup TE. I would rather have a 5th RB or 6th WR to mix it up week to week based on matchups. You have a top TE and you will never need to bench him unless it is his bye or he gets hurt like last year.

1) Keep the 2 Kickers, if they have good stats then they are good trade bait or ball breakers for other teams.
2) Again keep Atlanta unless there is a relly productive defense out there otherwise Seattle will do the Job
3) I would also include Issac Bruce is your mixture of interchangeable WRs depending on who they play. Just because Holt and Bruce play on the same team doesnt mean they both cant have good games.
4)Keep Ruben and look out for any early breakouts, dont look to Foster heavyly, he isnt very consistant over the course of a season
5) Todd Heap is a very good TE unless he gets injured stick with him
If I were you I would start Trent Green over Matt Hasselback. I dont know why in the world you would put Matt in over Trent unless there is a stat for winning the previous year's conference. Otherwise your team look like a standard 10 team league

1) Not bad to have two kickers, at least until one of them has a bye week. After that, drop one of them.
2) Atlanta's D is good enough. Check out who each team is playing each week to determine which one to start.
3) Yes, platoon Smith and Porter.
4) Not sure Droughns is good enough to start. Also depends if Foster is healthy. Suggest you pick up another RB if you decide to drop a kicker, especially for Alexander's bye week.
5) Backup TE isn't worth it. You usually don't get enough points out of the TE position to make a difference. See if you can pick one up when Heap hits his bye week, just so you don't get a 0 for that position. Then drop him the next week.
Look ahead and check your bye weeks to make sure you're not going to get screwed by not having enough players at a position. I believe there are a couple of weeks during the season where 6 teams are on byes this year, not just 4.

Overall, your team is good. Hopefully Droughns can have a productive year for the Browns for you. At this point, you don't need a back up kicker. You'll be able to drop one of your non productive players and pick up an extra kicker for your kicker's bye week. After the bye week, you can drop the extra kicker. I usually use this rule for tight ends and defenses as well. The last couple of seasons, Atlanta has had a solid defense, that has made for a solid fantasy Defense as well.

decent squad.. how many teams are in the league? 10 or 12?
1) no.. you're right.. you don't really need two kickers.. just pick one up when wilkins or graham (depending on who you keep) has a bye week
2) atlanta's D is pretty decent.. i always like to have two defenses just in case.. but if there's a FA that you really want to pick up.. then there's no need.. go ahead and drop one
3) i'd play porter over smith.. with randy moss as a decoy.. he should get TD's
4) yes!
5) that's on you.. pollard and wiggins are decent.. bubba franks ain't doin' nothin.. dude is old.. he did not help me at all last year.. might be good to have an extra TE just in case heap gets injured though
good luck!

You have a solid team. Your strengths are your recievers. I would wait to see what Foster does before you platoon him in with Droughns. Droughns had a great year last year, and Carolina uses that running back by committee method. You can drop your extra kicker and your extra defense. You don't need them until your bi week. I would hold on to them, though. Just in case your kicker gets hurt or sucks, and in your defenses case, you might find that Atlanta's D is playing better than Seattle's.

1. i'd stick with 1 kicker....mainly just to hold a player with potential like benson or vince young...some rookie that may get a chance to start later in the season.
2. can't really tell until at least preseason how their D will be...but i think they are solid defenses
3. overall, smith is the more likely to score more points. but yea, i'd start whoever plays against a weaker D.
4. i'd start foster over droughns. droughns is pretty weak in my opinion...try to pick up a sleeper RB.
5. don't worry about a backup TE. you got one of the top TEs and now he has mcnair throwing to him. he should be starting (unless injured) every week even against top defenses. just pick up a TE on heap's bye week.
