He has covered most Mavs games on TNT and ever since they played the Spurs he seems to put them down (especially when they beat the Spurs whom he used to play for). It got worse during the Suns series...Just wondering if anybody else saw this.

Yes I think so too. He relies on his opinions instead of facts.

Perhaps you're taking any complimentary thing he says about the Spurs as evidence of bias, and everything he says that's remotely critical of the Mavericks as evidence that he dislikes them (since he played for the Spurs at the end of his career)...

Kerr is a pretty good analyst, I think he's done a good job from what I've seen of him.

Fans tend to get all over announcers if anything remotely critical of their team is said by the announcer.

Just be glad you weren't a Laker fan during Chick Hearn's years of calling their games... he was always absolutely objective in his comments, and he would be the first to criticize the Lakers if they make a bonehead play...

I think people should lay off of announcers and analysts...they try to do their jobs as best they can. Being a fan of one team or another, it's easy to criticize them... but it's actually not an easy job, because there is criticism not matter WHAT they say.

If anyone out there can do a better job, I'm sure TNT or whoever would be glad to hire you, because they wouldn't have to pay you nearly the amounts that they're paying their ex-player analysts...

Just relax and enjoy the playoffs... they've been really good this year... this from a long, long, long time fan who seriously considered turning off basketball for good during this past season because the quality of play was so bad all over the league.
But these outstanding playoff series' have brought be back to being a fan again (just when I was starting to catch up on my reading, too).

Sadly, almost all commentators are somewhat biased. Especially if they played for that team previously. At least his commentary is reasonable..whereas Barkley's commentary is just laughable sometimes.
