=-2^(5*3/5)
=-2^(15/5)
=-2^3
=-8

(-32)^(3/5) = ((-32)^(1/5))^3 = (-2)^3 = -8

Logarithms. Remember them? I do, but I'm from BC (Before Calculators).

I think it can be done with a slide rule too, but that's a form of calculator, isn't it.

the 5th root of -32^3 = the 5th root of -32768
