Your man suffers from very low self-esteem. He’s telling you these things to let you know that other women desire him. The only problem is that more than likely, these women don’t exist. Give this exercise a try, wait a couple of weeks and tell him a guy tried to hit on you when you were out. He will become jealousy. If so, my theory holds true.
Ultimately, you really want to eliminate this problem as soon as possible. Tell him how it makes you feel and ask him not to tell you these types of things. Personally, I’m not into game but it sounds like he needs a dose of his own medicine. Good luck and God bless.

Maybe the guys wants to back out of the relationship, a make the woman get out of it first. Or just trying to make her jealous and have her putting too much in the relationship.

He might be telling you because he wants you to know that he is aware of it and is not going to pursue it. He probably also wants to make sure you understand how this other girl is acting in case she tries to say or do anything - you'll have a heads-up. Not only that, but it gives you a chance to tell him if you're uncomfortable with him hanging out with this other girl. All in all, I think he's just trying to play it safe and be honest with you.

They want to make sure you know that other women find him desirable and if you don't like what you have then he's fine because like he said before :
" he has all kinds of girls trying to hook up with him"
I think this show me that the guy is very insecure with himself and probably afraid of losing you in the first place. Not very mature in my book !

To make you jealous. Guys get a huge kick out of other girls hitting on them or flirting. It is just overall good for their ego. In a sense, they are telling you that others find them attractive.

These guys need constant validation that they are attractive to the opposite sex, or they may feel that their girlfriends/wives are not paying enough attention to them. The reaction they expect? A combination of reassurance and jealousy.

Its possible you are the type of girl that doesn't get jealous. Although guys say they hate jealous girls I think they hate secure girls even more. He is trying to get you all freaked out. And then if you freak out he can be what he always wanted to be and that is a guy who can walk around telling all his friends that his girl is a jealous psycho. Dont play into it.

Ok bare it down...they want to feel needed. By making you realize that they have other options, its an attempt for them to get extra attention from you...as well as jelousy. I guess also if u act jelous than its a method for them to test whether you like them or not...ie) if you get jelous about all the other girls he knows u care. The jelousy that u experience also gives them an ego boost because they feel like the alpha dawg.

They are looking to incite some jealousy. Some guys think it's hot to have girls fighting over them. It's a VERY immature thing to do, but it usually means that they want to have some heat from the tension of girls fighting over them.

He's trying to make you jealous. It may or may not be true, but that's the only reason to tell you. He's wanting some kind of response out of you, or maybe he's hinting that he's looking around.
