You can't do much if they won't forgive you and let it go. You can apologize to them from the bottom of your heart and tell them how sorry you are - thats your part to do. Their part is to forgive you and really mean it and move on.

Walk away. The only one you need forgiveness from gives it freely for the asking and casts it all into a sea of forgetfulness. If you already are a christian please know that the person who is holding on to resentment cannot be forgiven and is not following Christ. If they have forgiven you they are not obligated to keep associating with you.

Give that person some time and space and be patient. They may never choose to forgive you but love them anyway... Seek help and counseling as well!

Find out exactly what it is they need from you to be able to forgive and do it every minute of every day until they can forgive.
