Okay i'm 28 10.5 weeks pregnant not a pervet. This is a REAL question. I would feel very uncomfortable asking my OB/gyn. Is it okay to use a vibrator while pregnant. Is there any reason NOT to? Don't say stupid things most grown women OWN sex toys.

Yes it is perfectly safe to masturbate, even have sexual intercourse while you are pregnant. If you have any question be sure to ask your doc.

Hey there! I am 28 also and it's great to see some mature people on here. To answer your 'very logical' question, I believe this is perfectly okay. I mean, while pregnant, it's just fine to have sex and orgasm. So why not use a vibrator? I'd feel a bit embarrassed asking my Ob/Gyn that too. I say go for it! and Congratulations on being pregnant!
P.S. Just overlook any immature answers that you get to this question, if you have a little experience with this site, you already know there's quite a bit of rude people on here just playin around! You know?
Well, have a great day.

I am five months pregnant with my first child. My husband and I always use a vibrator as part of our sex play. We have stopped since I found out I was pregnant, but would like to begin using it again. Is it safe to use a vibrator while pregnant?

Although there are no controlled studies that I am aware of, it is highly unlikely that use of a vibrator would cause any pregnancy complications.

For the majority of normal, healthy pregnant women, orgasm is a good release and often easier to achieve due to the increased vascularity of the perineum.

You may notice a temporary increase in the uterine irritability after orgasm, but this subsides quickly. If it does not, or contractions continue or get more frequent or intense, your care provider should be notified.

Orgasm is not recommended for those at risk for premature labor (history of premature labor, early cervical changes, increasingly frequent uterine contractions, history of infections during the pregnancy).

I cannot tell you from a medical stand point if it is safe or not to use a vibrator while you are pregnant. I would not see were the harm in it could be, BUT I also think that it all depends on your medical history, like if you had trouble getting pregnant or having trouble carrying. The best solution that I can think of would be to go to WEBMD.com and that way you can a medical professional without having to speak directly to them (even if you do have to give medical info) and they will never know you. Good luck. If your still unsure until you get your answer, you can still do it the old fashion way!

I wouldn't see why it would hurt anything....I mean you can have sex almost right up until the baby is born - it's not going to make that much of a difference. You shake more when you walk or exercise of any kind than what a vibrator does. If anyone says anything stupid - ignore them. I understand and I'm sure A LOT of others do to. Did you see the Will/Grace show and he asked Grace why she has "d" batteries and she said for my elect. toothbrush - he said "you don't have an elect. toothbrush" - she looked at him and said - "let's just say I do" ---it was sooo funny.

After you get pregnant, talk with your obstetrician about sexual activity during your very first visit. Most importantly, ask whether or not your doctor feels that it is safe for you to engage in regular sexual activity. If you're feeling gutsy, ask specifically about sex toy use. My hunch is that after being a bit surprised, she'll be happy you asked and provide you with the needed information.

That said, there has been no scientific research to date on the use of sex toys during pregnancy. As a result, your doctor may not be very knowledgeable in this area. However, if you're approved to continue regular sexual activity, there's no reason to believe that using sex toys would pose any harm to you or your baby, as sex toys mimic the same activities that we experience using our hands, tongues and other body parts.

The one exception to this theory is vibration. However, vibration in and of itself does not appear to be harmful to a pregnant woman's body or the unborn baby, given that the level of vibration emitted through toys is typically quite mild.

The vibration is not good for the baby. You can use the contraption just don't turn on the vibration. I don't know why I know this I just do. I do not remember where I learned this but it somehow makes sense. I still use my big guy but I just leave off the vibrating part. Hope this helps!

I've never been pregnant, but if it's alright to have sex during a pregnancy, I would assume it's alright to use a vibrator. In fact I just found support for this question at http://parenting.ivillage.com.

you're able to on no account use cleansing soap down on your vagina besides! till it particularly is a PH balanced cleansing soap like dove or specific woman cleansing soap. this might reason inflammation and reason the undesirable scent which you're saying is there. stop utilising cleansing soap and purely use water for a at the same time as and with any luck it is going to clean up. If it would not then you definately could see your scientific expert and ask him to do a attempt. wish each thing is going ok

BUT vib is alsays safe.....go for it, enjoy the life...goodluck.
