My boyfriend and I have been talking about having a baby. I have been with him since I was 10 and I am now 17. He is turning 18 on the 22nd of this month. He loves kids and I do to. I have told my mom about this and she said its my life and to do what I want. And if I get pregnant any time soon I would have the baby after my 18th birthday. But I just want to know when the best time is to get pregnant. Like before or after your period and how long?

I am not in high school any more and neither is he. I get 10$ an hour where I work and he works at the same place. So I think I have enough money. And I have been baby sitting babys all ages up to 9 since I was 11.

The Best Time: Evaluate the risks, responsibility and reward. The three "R's." Research the risks of child birth, child bearing and child diseases and birth defects to women in your age group. Research the economic, social, cultural and emotional responsibility. It isn't free having a baby, and children cost money. Analyze the average common amount of money most people spent on their children for the last two years. Children aren't pets. They are a lifetime commitment. And, they won't stay small for long. Seriously ask yourself if you want that type of commitment now. Yes they are wonderful, but don't you want to travel, have personal time with your boyfriend, get married, go out to clubs with your friends, drink without a child?. . . Experience your own childhood first, your twenties are the new teens, just with more privileges. Go have fun. . .

the best time to have a baby is after college and your carreer But what ever makes you happy I'm 18 and my first baby is due in december. Ill be 19 then and it was something that i thought long and hard about. I must say this make sure that a baby is what you want before you decide to concieve. Like try babysitting a 3 or 4 month old or just hang around someone you know that has a young child and see if you like it. If you don't like it then maybe you should wait if it doesn't bother you do what you think you are ready for.

When you are older - you have graduated high school and college, you have a good job, money saved up for becoming a parent and you partner has the same.
That is the best time to have a baby

I agree with bcuen17. A baby is a big responsibility and takes time, patience and money to take care of. If you don't even know how your own body works, then I don't think you're ready to care for somebody else's.
