Me, my mother and my 8 year old daughter have suffered for years. I get it particularly badly and cant take antihistamines. I swear by New Era Combination H tablets for Hayfever and Allergic Rhinitis. All good chemists stock them, they are homeopathic and harmless. There are no side effects, you take four tablets, dissolve them on your tongue, four times a day. They taste lovely, they work within about five minutes, and they also have a preventative effect. For the first week, you may need to take them more often as they build up over time. I am now taking them about twice a day, unless the pollen's high, and then I take them four times a day. But you can take them every half an hour. 100 tablets cost less than a six pounds, they don't make you drowsy or dry your mouth out. They also stop the itchy eyes and scratchy throat, almost instantly. Children can take them, but only two tablets per dose. Everyone I have recommended them to, swears by them.

either go to the GP to get stuff on prescription, or go to any chemist, pharmacy, or large store and you can find hayfever tablets there - check you get a non drowsy one tho!! i made the mistake of not checking once, but the drowsy ones make some people get tired. I find most brands effective. You can get fast acting ones that start working really quick - just read the packets.
