Beneficial nematodes which you mix and add to the soil- because they lay might overwinter there or anywhere else they can find
-you can also use parasitic wasp but i've had mixed reults
you can put petroleum jelly on the plant lightly and when the eggs are present you can just wipe them off they eggs are usually on the undersides of leaves -look carefully

using a row cover being you will have problems with mold and aphids in which you will need to release lady bugs underneath it-also you will have to self pollinate if that is the case
or
cover for a little while and gradually turning back the cover to pollinate the flowers

try planting these veggies after the squash bug hits I've e tried it one year they still got me but a manged to get plenty of squashes

Over the past five years I have tried everything but nothing worked. The bug bores into the stalk & the plants wilt before you know it.

This year I reluctantly gave up planting squash.

i don't know! I guess you would find out the species, go to Home DEpot or Lowes, and buy the anti-stuff. That's my guess.
