Don't do it for them, do it for you. If you feel like it's what you want to do, then do it. I joined a church and became baptized at the age of 24. My mom and my sister are not saved but that's on them. I did it for me and you should to. When the time is right, He'll let you know.

I'm so sorry you're going through this...I know what you're going through. I have been praying for the man I've been married to for nearly 30 years because he is always noncomittal in his responses when I ask him whether he believes in God. I used to try to talk with him about this in the beginning but then I realized that the power of God is a drawing force, not a driving force. Now I pray for him all the time...I go to church every week...I sing in the choir...I try to teach by example. I had to come to the realization that when the time comes for us to stand before God, we will all stand alone no matter how close we were to one another.

My advice to you is this:

1) You stand firm in your faith, do not quit God because He will never quit you!
2) Pray for your family members always. Tell God what you want for your loved ones.
3) Be the best example of Christ's love you can be.
and finally,
4) Never take on the attitude that you are better than they are just because you believe and they don't. Remember, we do not all learn at the same pace.

God bless you, Brandy. Take good care of yourself and keep praying!

My dear all you can do is show them God's love. They have to be willing to make the commitment to God. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make the horse drink. It is up to him when and if he drinks. Do not make it an issue with them. Tell them that God loves them and then pray for them. If they find the way then fine if they can't well God knows what is in their hearts.

Your first priority is YOU. Once you can stand firm in what you believe in, then keep trying to influence them by your actions. Don't force them to do anything they don't want to (go to church, etc.), but encourage them through your actions (telling how much you enjoy church, the kind of great people you hang out with, the way God impacts your life). They will come around, but don't ever feel dissapointed!

I think that you cant push that kind of thing on people. People have to come to whatever decisions about religion that they are going to come to. If you arent sure, which is what it sounds like, then you may want to research and find out which way is best for u but dont look for the crowd to lead you, but rather you have to be a leader and follow whats best for yourself.

Your families relationship with God is their problem. You need to do what you need to do. If you have a friend that goes to your church ask them if you can hitch a ride with them. Just because your family doesn't want to make time for church doesn't mean you don't have to not go.

Just keep praying for them and being an example. Don't push God on them or they will push away even harder. The only thing you can do is pray and trust God's timing for everything.

Totally keep your family in prayer. Be an example and they will see. God will change their hearts. Whatever you do, don't give up.
