He is not Italian. Note that his name Nomar is Roman spelled backwards, indicative of his Hispanic ancestry. Roman is a very popular Hispanic name. Sorry you lost.

Nomar is RAMON spelled backwards (Not Roman).
He's Hispanic, not Italian.

His Father's name is Roman....thus the backwards spelling and his last name is the combination of his Mother and Father's surnames (as is Hispanic tradition) so his name was Garcia-Parra and all he did was drop the hyphen....obviously a very Hispanic name.

He is. BUTTTTT. He is like Alex Rodriguez. His parents are from Italy and he was born in the US. You can consider him Italian since he was gunna play for the Italy world baseball classic team
