im thinking of someone that im not in love with but just good friends to be in a commited relationship with. Ive been burned bad by my ex husband and dont want to go through that agin. I have someone willing to care for me and be there but there is no real love just good friends. Is this the safe way to go? To save my heart im willing to give up on love.

You're asking for failure, lady to know. If love is absent from the relationship, then it's not a committed relationship. What you need to do is find a good man... someone who will commit to you for the right reason. Because he loves you with his whole heart, soul and mind.

I am kinda thinking along the same lines myself...more companionship then bed buddies, I miss being the man of the house and miss being in a family atmosphere...the only thing is the only person I know that wants me to live with her is hoping it could be more than what it is ...and I like you don't think I can make any promises nor care to right now...I think the circumstances with your partner have to be unique in order for it to work...

As long as you both are on the same page as to what you want out of the relationship and agree that if either of you want out if you do find someone to love I don't see why you can't have a great relationship.

It is a safe way to go, but being with the one you truly love is more fulfilling in my opinion.

Good luck in whichever you choose.

well i feel you been there done that and yes being friends is a good way to start even though yu still will have some doubt in your mind about this person just try i feel if you never tyr you will never trully fall in love with your soulmate just keep things at a slow pace for now if he is willing to wait till your ready then he is a good one but still be careful you could still get burned

You know what they say....marry your best friend. Most of us women dont do that because we want the "love" but yeah it usually hurts the crap out of us. I have thought about throwing in the towel and doing that myself but I'm still going to try to find that true love for a while longer. I'm 36 and never married.

Just make sure that it wont get awkward. You should only get in a relationship if you love the person
