This letter could mean that not enough cells were obtained for a good test. Please don't worry too much if it didn't say anything about abnormal cells. Bad tests can happen.....it stinks, but it is a medical reality.

No it is not a clinical error. what it means is they need you to go back to your doctors. your letter says you have abnormal cells this means you might have more red cells than white cells your doctor will repeat the smear test. and if it comes back the same she will give you some tablets to take. and she will ask you to come back in 3 months for another smear test. so please do not worry everything will be fine..............take care

My gynecologist's secretary called me once saying the same thing but she could not give me any detail. I started panicking. But then the doctor explained that it might have been due to the treatment I had taken for a recent yeast infection so there was nothing to worry about. If it was more serious someone who have called you so don't worry, just give the doctor a phone call. OK?

i've had this myself and all that it means is that they didn't have enough cells to take a proper sample from. or, they have lost the sample!!! don't worry- it's nothing bad about your health- it means they can't test what they have. the next smear will give a better result.

It means that either not enough cells were obtained on the smear, or that they've discovered an infection that they want to treat.

Don't panic- these tests regularily show "abnormalities" and when rechecked, turns out it was nothing. Follow up with your GP just to be sure.

So I say attempt to dam all human beings who sounds like conceivable, I wish I did once I have been given suspended, i could probable nevertheless have my previous account. yet while Y!A could actually look into questions and not matter on the comments, we could have much less customers getting ineffective violation emails.

dinae worry it is just that there was not enough in the sample to test. I had this myself and all they did was give me another smear test which was fine.
