I didnt gain any weight until I was 7 1/2 months pregnant. I am 36 weeks and Ive only gained 15 lb. I had lost a lot of weight before getting pregnant, and I was concerned too. As long as your fondus is accurate, dont worry. The weight will start to come in the next few weeks. If there was an issue, your doctor would tell you. I lost 30 lb the first 3 months from morning sickness. Just eat healthy, stay away from caffeine and drink plenty of water and take your prenatals. Don't worry. You'll start gaining soon.

I would not fear an excessive amount of. If you had somewhat further weight to spare to start with, the youngster will traditionally use the ones vitamins and minerals first. If you misplaced 10 kilos to start with, it traditionally takes longer to achieve weight. If you're top notch thin to start with, there would be a few problem but when your OB is not involved, I would not be too involved both. If you're displaying, your youngster is certainly developing and simply utilising the vitamins and minerals that your frame already saved up prior to fitting pregnant. The most important factor is the load that your youngster earnings, instead than what you truthfully achieve. You will have to be nice :) The greatest weight achieve is but to come back within the subsequent couple of months besides, so I bet you'll be able to truthfully recall your self fortunate (I received sixty five lbs with my first youngster and I am five'zero" and began at 112lbs). If it makes you think any larger, I have a few peers that have been heavier set to start with and so they truthfully weighed much less once they had their toddlers than they began with - on account that they ate proper the complete being pregnant and made definite to stick lively. Just ensure that you're consuming very good and retaining your self healthful and you should have no concerns :)

Were you overweight to begin with? If so then don't worry about it. As long as you are eating healthy your baby will get everything it needs from you. If you are not overweight I would be somewhat concerned. Most of your weight will come on in your last trimester but 4 lbs. seems really low for someone of average weight. If you are truly concerned seek a second opinion.

Did you lose the baby weight after the first one? If not and you're still carrying excess weight, perhaps that's why the doctor isn't concerned. However, I agree with you...four pounds is not enough of an increase at 6 months...get a second opinion!

I am in a similar situation, I'm only 22 weeks but I am still 6 lbs. less than when I got pregnant thanks to morning sickness. My doctor is telling me the same thing - that everything is normal, and it isn't something to worry about - but I know how you feel. Good luck to you and your baby!

You are receiving medical care and that is very good! Keep listening to your doctor and being in constant communication. You are the best judge of your own body. However, if things are going well and the doctor says you are fine-try not to worry too much about it, because you will stress yourself and your baby unduly. Congratulations!

go back to your doctor and tell him/her that you are concerned about this, ask him or her if the baby is picking up any weight or if you have any deficiency of some kind and if the baby is picking up all the vitamins and nutrients its needs, and ask if there are any types of drinks that he/she may recommend for you to gain weight such as ensure or ensure plus....it is possible that the baby is not getting enough nutrients from you from what you are eating, but this may be something in your genetics, it is possible that you may start really picking up weight in the next few months
