my husband and i have decided to try to have a baby. (docs appt few weeks but im too anxious) we have been haveing intercourse for a week/wk & half, before my next period. smart or not possible because im not sure if i was ovulating. Think its possible i could of gotten pregnant?

Congradualtions for trying and esp if you are pregnant. I must warn you that my husband and I concieved (I'm 10 weeks now) about a week after we started trying (even though they say it can take up to a year) and I agree ovulation is about 14 days after your last period. Congrats and don't stress if you can! :)
ps- the first time I took the pee test it was negative (I took it 5 days before the expected period) I then took it a week later and it was instantly positive! so don't waste your money until the day of your expected period.

Woman ovulate generally 14 days after the first of their last period. Ovum usually live 24-48 hours where as sperm can live up to 5 days. If you had sex on monday and ovulated that wednesday there is a high chance that you may become pregnant.

yeahitsme000 is right, 14 days after your period has ended is the prime time for ovulation. You will begin to notice a clear like discharge when you go to the bathroom and your temperature at ovulation time will increase a few degrees in comparison to most other days. Worked for me! One month pregnant, good luck! There is also ovulation kits for around $30-40 at the drug store.

Any time you have sex it's possible to get pregnant. But I'm sorry to tell you, it's all just in how your body works. I wish you and your husband the best of luck though!

you could have gotten pregant but it is best to get an ovulation detection system to know exactly when you are ovulating so you can know for sure you that your body is producing enough eggs for you to get pregnant

Anytime you have unprotected sex, pregnancy is a possiblity.
