slugs be gone!!!!!!?

whats an easy way to get rid of slugs? (naturaly or chemicaly)

2 things:
1) salt only works if you see them and sprinkle the buggers, also if you use too much it will run into your soil and it's not the best for your plants (besides, it's cruel)
2) Beer will attract slugs INTO your garden - who doesn't like a good party, right? Sure the ones that make it to the beer will get killed but slugs don't have a very long attention span...

Oh, in the evening, drop a few pages of newspaper into the garden - don't spread it, just drop like someone walked by and left it there after they were done reading. The slugs will be under it in the morning, pick it up and throw it away.

each and every time i had to discover slugs to positioned on my cousins i might turn over a log in my grandma's outdoor. They have been continually there! So i assume i might consider somebody's previous answer - dark and damp places.

Beer and salt.

Pour a shallow dish full of beer and put it by the slugs, they crawl in and die. Put salt on them and they shrivel up.

All of the answers you have received are correct. I have done it and it works, but you have to do it every year, unfortunately they do not become eradicated.

I have heard if you pour salt on them they disintegrate.
