Periods start between the ages of 10 or so right up to 19 years old, you shouldn't be worried at all, it just isn't your time to start having them yet.
Women who don't start having periods until they are 19 can have babies your friends are wrong.
You should never believe what friends say without checking it out in a book or somewhere first.
You are normal
You will be able to have babies

Absolutely don't worry about it. The average age is 13, but it could start any where from 9 to 18 or even more. It depends on the genes you inherited. If you don't get your period by 17 or 18, you may want to start thinking of checking on it.
And with all due respect to your friends, getting your period later than 14 (or 15..) does not mean you will be able to have a baby. But it is very true that some women who do have periods are not necessarily able to have babies.
So cheer up, and don't worry and certainly don't wait. It'll start when it will, and you'll probably start wondering why you were in such a hurry :-)

You're sooo lucky! Having your period sucks! I am 11 and got my period on my best friends birthday, during school, right after I met the hottest guy in Newton, hes Canadian and plays bass in SFMS orchestra and came to my school to visit. Then on my second cycle I was asleep! So, just be patient and some sign are that ur breast area hurts when u lay face down. So again, just be patient and don't worry about ur friends, because hun, they're soo wrong. Your period can happen at anytime between 9-20. Its ok if you're a late bloomer, cuz then that means u arent going to have it as long as everyone else. And its a good chance you can still have a biological baby.

Don't worry. It will show up and when it do there will be many times that you would probably wish that it wasn't there! But if you are really concerned about that you may not be able to give birth, pray about it. Sarah ( Abraham's wife in the bible ) was barren and couldn't give birth but she had a little talk with God and he blessed her with a child. And there is always adoption. There is a lot of beautiful babies out here that need a good home. Don't worry or panic.

I didn't get my period until i was almost 14 and let me tell you that you will still be able to have a child. Actually you are better off not having a period early. It lowers your chances of having female cancers. However, if you don't have one by 14 go to a doctor, your hormones might be off and need help. Once i started mine they were never regular, so I had to be put on birth control at 16 as a form of hormone therapy to even them out. Don't be too worried about, but definately see a doctor if things don't start on their own.

The average age seems to be getting younger, nowadays. There was a time 13 was considered young to be starting your period. I started mine at 14, probably closer to 15. Some girls start even later. You're just more of a late bloomer than your friends, Don't worry about it. It's not true you won't be able to have a baby.

Don't worry, it will happen. For now, enjoy it as long as you can without it . Different girls start at different times---depends on the makeup of your body. You will probably start before you are 14, but if you don't it will come. Really, don't worry. It just means you are a late bloomer. Nothing at all wrong with that. Besides, you wouldn't want to have a baby now anyway, right?

Dont worry about it. Everyone starts at a different time. I was 15 almost 16 when I started and I have not had any problems since. Enjoy not having it. YOu will have one a good portion of your life. Not starting until your 14 will not effect your ability to have a baby. Its normal

My mom got hers at 17 and had 2 kids. I got mine at 16 and I have 2 beautiful girls. My best friend got hers at 8 yrs old and just found out she can not carry a child to term because of an incompetent cervix. Go figure. Read this book it helped me out when I had the same doubts as you did.
Are You There God it's Me Margaret by Judy Blume.
This is not a christian or religious book it is a coming of age book for young adult girls.
