aditional questions: Will America ever regain that money back? ( it should be about 400 billions till now)

It is about 400 billion now, and NO AMerica will probably never regain the money as a direct result of the war

It is a little more then $400 billion for there has also been lots of "aid" to the Iraqi people given in terms of infrastructure, schools, and hospitals. I would not be suprised to see this reach a trillion before its done.

We could have done nothing, continued to spend $25 billion a year maintaining a no fly zone and embargo that was ignored by the UN and pay off nations like France. We could have done nothing and hoped that Saddam wouldn't have armed al queda or given them new refuge after Afghanistan. We could have done nothing in hopes that his sons might stop throwing people into swimming pools full of acid, and Saddam party minions executed hundreds if not thousands of opponents a year. Sure we could have done nothing....
