Is your romantic attraction strengthened, lessened, or does it remain the same if you find out they're a smoker? For me, it would drastically reduce because smoking is just disgusting and I don't smoke. I'm just curious though.

I was a smoker then I quit when I was with my ex. He didn't smoke and neither did any of his friends or family.
I started smoking again about 8mths. ago when I started seeing my last boyfriend and he smoked.
I really wouldn't have to think twice about quiting if I met somebody that blew my mind away and the one thing that was keeping us apart was my smoking I would give that sh!t up in a second !

It doesn't make a difference to me. I ask them to respect me, when in a close confined space to not smoke around me, or while we're eating too. Most of the guys respect me, and I respect them. I don't ask them to quit, or whine about it. That's there choice. But my choice is to not be engulfed in a heavy cloud of smoke, which they understand. SO for the most part, it doesn't affect the relationship one way or the other. It's whether they respect my wishes about smoking that affects the relationship.

I loathe smoking. It makes me feel terrible. Hence, I can never get along with a smoker. Besides, why should I get committed to someone killing himself piecemeal?

i am a smoker and i dated alot of people that were non smokers . i just did not smoke in there face.

I just accept it. He does not smoke anywhere around me, and the slight taste of nicoteen when we kiss actually turnes me on.

and this is not a factor on which romance depends

I smoke and most of my ex's didn't. I guess they wished I didn't but it didn't change things.
