If you were married and the person that you were married to cleaned out the bank account, rented an apartment and moved out but didn't tell you anything until they were moving out. Would you work things out with them or would you divorce them for the thief that they are? Why would you do this?

He gave no reason to leaving and left a few days after income tax came in with the earned income credit, but the kids that were claimed were not his children.

I would seek counseling and help and pray and think about it first. Would not take them back right away however. Why did they leave and want out?

my husband did something very similar about a month ago. got an apartment three hours away, and told me two days before he left. he said it was for a job. PLEASE! he had started a company and didn't tell me. he knew he was leaving a few months before he told me. he said he would come home everyday. i said yah right! thats so much driving. now he gets mad when i ask him if he's coming home. anyway, maybe theres a reason why your man did this. but all in all , it sounds like pure selfishness and you deserve way better. take care of yourself. doll yourself up. have some fun. he'll realize he made a big mistake. and lay down the rules if he wants to come back. but honestly, you should really move on. and close that bank account. open your own. get a lawyer if you can.

Honestly, I'd cut them out of my life, after thanking them for the experience and the learning curve my time with them became. I'd look upon it as an experience and time in my life I am closing the door on and moving on. However, this is me, no you. Look into your heart, look at yourself at 90. Can you picture yourself happy and fullfilled with this person; with no regrets? If not, leave. If so, talk. Good luck.

What do you think is in a person's mind that does something
like that? He certainly didn't want you with him did he? I would
divorce him so fast!! I would also get the best of lawyers
and sue his socks off!! He probably would not want to work things out...why do you think he did all of this on the sly?
The best of luck to you.
