Take into consideration, some states the wage for waitress' is only $2.15 an hour (Indiana), because they use tips as income. If you have no tips, then all you get is $2.15 or whatever your wage is in your state. My daughters had been waitress' and tips vary on the time that you work. Day time tips are low as $20.00 or none at all a day. Night time tips according where you work and how popular the restaurant is can range from $40-60 on weekdays, on weekends it is higher. Actually, your fast food places pay more and some have benefits.

Experienced or not, places will want to train you to their way of doing things. If you are outgoing and willing to learn. (tell them that) You will be an asset anywhere. Larger chain restaurants i.e. Fridays, Red Lobster, Chili's have a high volume of employee turn over and are always hiring. (appyed, is not a word, it's applied)
Good luck!

Applebee's, TGIFriday's, Cheddar's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster to name a few and many you can apply online. Be available on fridays and weekends. Those are great tip times :-) What about Schlotzsky's, Subway, McDonald's..? If inexperienced its a foot in the door to employment. No experience at all..? How about Job Corp..? They will train you for real, dependable employment. I hope this helps. Good Luck.

getting into waitress is tricky if you don't have prior experience as a waitress- but how to get it if no one will hire you?!
Try your local catering halls. They usually hire waitresses without experience. Then after you work there for a couple of months you can just look for any restaurant that's hiring. That's what i did.
Good luck

Applebee's, TGIFridays, Max & Erma's., the list is endless. What about applying for a barista position at Starbuck's? I think they pay more than minimum wage plus you get tips at most of them. Part timer's are also eligible for insurance benefits.
