The sun is about 15 million degrees C. at its core and about 11000 degrees C. on its surface. Way too hot for anyone to get anywhere close to it.

I am continually amazed at the lack of knowledge of the human race. Earth is 93 million million miles away from the Sun and yet it only takes 8 minutes for its energy to reach your planet. Many of you don't even grasp the basic principles of science. Are you so lazy that you won't even attempt to find the answer yourself. You have the resource right in front of you. Why would you ask people questions you don't even know? I have heard people say "just Google it", that sounds like a good place to start.
Speaking of "Too Hot to Handle" we have enjoyed that tribal rhythmic emanation from your planet by a group of men called appropriately UFO for some time now. Also the rhythmic emanation "The Sun Never Sweats" by Spinal Tap is one of my personal favorites.
By the way, the gravitational pull of the sun would crush anything you would be able to build that could get you anywhere near the sun. so technically NO, it would not be too hot to handle, because you would never get there.

Has anyone ever been to the sun???? Are you serious. FYI the sun is 5800 K (kelvin) or 3296.5 degrees F just on the surface... The core of the sun is 8866487.9 degrees F... I think you may want to avoid "going" to the sun ... Thats just me... some people like it hot

Ummmmm......the sun is, first of all, 93 million miles away.....do you know how long it would take you to get there? A jetliner travelling in excess of 500mph could get there in 21 years. As for the temperature.....the surface of the sun is about 6,000 degrees Celsius. That's almost 11,000 degrees! It's safe to say you'd burn to a crisp if you tried to land there....or even get near for that matter.

Solar energy is created deep within the core of the Sun.(15,000,000° C; 27,000,000° F)
Sunspots are dark depressions on the photosphere with a typical temperature of 4,000°C (7,000°F). Plus, it is made of gas, so, there is no way a human would survive.

No, no one has been to the sun. It is 93,000,000 miles away. The moon, which man has visitied, is only 240,000 miles away. And, the sun is far to hot to even get close to.
