Yes, it is safe. Just make sure it is the REAL Paypal because I get e-mails all the time from people posing as Paypal trying to get me to add an account and things like that. As long as you go directly to Paypal.com and set it up it is safe. I have used it for years also with no problems.

PayPal is an Internet business which allows the transfer of money between email users and merchants, avoiding traditional paper methods such as checks/cheques and money orders. PayPal also performs payment processing for e-commerce vendors, auction sites, and other corporate users, for which they charge a fee. Corporate headquarters are in San Jose, California; it is now an eBay company.

Paypal is VERY safe. Very good service. The only things you need to be careful with is what you spend it on. Some people get really hooked on using it.

l'm still hesitant to activate my account because I don't trust it. I'm planning on opening a "special" account at our credit union for just this purpose.
Be careful though....... periodically I get fake Paypal e-mails asking me to verify my name and password. I fell for in once and it was a pain in the neck getting all our info changed.
When Paypal contacts you, they will ALWAYS use your name! The fake ones begin with "Dear Paypal Member".

It's safe. I've been using PayPal for years and never had a problem.

Use a bank account if you're selling. Use a CC if you're buying.

Yes I've used it for years. Just be careful because a few times I got e-mails that said they were from Paypal asking me to re input my info. They looked official, but it didn't fool me.

i don't love paypal. i think that's risky because i do not see them and that i do not comprehend what the heck they do afterwards to my account. Paypal is a corporation that some organizations set up an account the position those organizations have their customers to ensure account with them merely so that they'll pay on-line. Ask your merchandiser the thanks to pay on-line - they'll lead you to this website. reliable success.

It's safe provided you don't go around doing stupid things with it... like putting your paypal card number in on every website you see.
