Maybe you have the houses switched? Does any gas come out of the gas line?

What year and model bike do you have. Honda's have 3 different types of fuel delivery systems. Gravity feed, vacuum petcock and fuel pump.
Which overflow hose are you talking about. The carb float bowl or the gas cap.
I'm gonna take a guess that you mean the carb float bowl over flow. If that's what you're talking about, then the carb will have to be removed and cleaned. Could be - float needle and seat damaged / dirty / stuck or floats are damaged / stuck / need adjusting.
Be a little more explicit when asking questions and always give year, make, engine size and model #.

If gas is pouring out of the overflow tube on your carb then your float is stuck. Tap on the float bowl with the handle of a screwdriver, sometimes that frees it up. If that fixes prob and stops the gas from pouring out then I would think about taking the carb apart and cleaning it. Good Luck!

Too much gas to start.
Your float is stuck or you may have debris in the jet. Turn off the petcock and pull the drain screw out of the carb's float bowl. You may even want to turn the valve on and run a LITTLE gas all the way through. Replace the drain plug. If it still acts up, tap the float bowl GENTLY with a wrench or small ball pean hammer.
Check to see that your crankcase is not filled up with gasoline. It it is, and you try to crank it, you'll break a rod.

take the gas cap off you mightve pressurized the tank, if u have fuel comign from the overflow and the cap is on tight there is no air to let the gas go from the tank to the carb, tak eoff gas cap, start car, if it runs, let it run for a whiel than put cap back on

stuck float or busted float needle if the overflow you're talking about is coming from the carb. check your oil to make sure fuel didn't flow into a cylinder and get past your piston rings into your crank case.

Check all of your vacume hoses around the carbs. They are flooding out.

The carb float(s) are probably stuck open. Depending on the kind of bike it is, how many carbs, etc. you may be able to fix it yourself.

The hose is probably loose... or maybe there is a screw loose that's not tight enough to keep the gas in there
