'Blessed'. Hmm, there's a word.
No, let's face it, he isn't really fit, even though he has been given the all clear. I'm glad he can play though, as Rooney not being there can't be used as an excuse when they go out in the group stages..........England won't win the World Cup - ok?

I was very depressed when I saw Rooney being taken off the pitch injured etc. Therefore, very happy that he will now be part of the team and hopefully a useful influence if needed - should make a great super sub, as long as his agression doesn't get the better of him. However, there is a great danger of making one man the centre of the footballing universe and wonder what detrimental damage it can cause to the general confidence of his team mates. It could also have the effect of forcing them to perform better to compete - I think it's a fine line and very difficult to predict.

Hell yeah!

Hopefully he will be fully fit for the second round - although he might not be sharp. He lacks match fitness. He could be a very good sub to bring on with 20 minutes left. Let's hope he can make a real impact.

After England is bounced from the cup or maybe a few months after that as they continue to debate the issue.

Blessed... Why? Is the fate of the entire England team resting on his foot? That's quite sad, really...

WE ARE NOT ONLY BLESSED, BUT IT IS THE BEGINING OF BETTER THINGS TO COME FROM THE TEAM.
