I guess it would depend on just how far down the line' you want to look in terms of how something works.

The obvious, and I would even go so far as to say [mostly] "correct", answer would be no.
But if want to consider how the water gets from the source (a lake/reservoir) to your house and into your pipes at a given pressure, then yes, electricity probably plays a part in most people's showers (in electric water pumps for example).

EDIT:
As I was typing, "Shorti" made a good point...the hot water used in the shower is very often (but not always) heated using an electric water heater.

In the end, the shower runs off of water pressure if we neglect how the water got there and up to its given pressure (totally neglecting its temperature).
it is certainly possible to have a shower which is totally free of all electrical connections no matter how far down the line you look. For example, collecting rain water in a bucket which is help up above the ground at some distance above one's head and then syphoning the water out with a tube for use in the shower would eliminate the need for electricity, the water could even be heated using solar energy/ambient heat of the day.

A shower does not have to use electricity - even to get the water into the house. If you live in the country, sometimes people's water source comes from a spring which can gravity feed into a home. The build up of pressure from a holding tank forces the water through the pipes into the house. This works for cold water only. So if you want hot water and you do not use solar heating for your water, then yes you must have electricity.

Showers run on a hot water heater, and hot water heaters run on electricity, so if u wanna say that I guess
