This happens to me all the time especially when I am shopping. My doc says its nothing to worry about just to eat something with a pretty decent amount of sugar in it and drink some water or gatorade and sit down for a few..

Is it common to feel lightheaded during pregnancy?
It's not uncommon to occasionally feel lightheaded or dizzy when you're pregnant. During this time, your cardiovascular system undergoes dramatic changes: Your heart rate (pulse) goes up, your heart pumps more blood per minute, and the amount of blood in your body expands by an average of 40 to 45 percent. The capacity of your circulatory system also increases as blood flows to your enlarging uterus and placenta.
In a normal pregnancy, your blood pressure goes down in the beginning, reaching its lowest point in the middle of your pregnancy, and then goes back to its normal level by the time you give birth. Most of the time, your cardiovascular and nervous systems are able to adjust appropriately to all these changes, but occasionally they don't, which can leave you feeling lightheaded or a bit dizzy. If you actually faint, though, it could be a sign that something is wrong, and you should call your practitioner.

You could be dehydrated. When I was three months pregnant I was at work helping a customer when suddenly I was about to faint. I called out to my manager that I was going to faint, and then I just sat down hard on the floor. After drinking water I felt much, much better. Since then I have had another dizzy spell and almost fainted again, this time at the doctor's office. Drinking water helped again. As long as I get enough water I don't get dizzy. It especially helps to drink water first thing in the morning with breakfast.

It sounds like a problem with your sugar levels. I have the same problem and was diagnosed with gestional diabetes and i'm now insulin dependant. I still get the spells, when i get up fast or walk for long peroids of time (shopping). Keep a lite snack with you at all times...the best thing for me is peanut butter crackers. If it is your sugar levels it will remain with u until you have the baby.... (as i'm 8 1/2 mts). Good luck...possibly ask for your gtt test early...(Glucose tolerance test)

This is actually very common when you are pregnant. Usually caused by low blood sugar. But could be more serious. I would call the doctor and make sure. But everything is probably fine!

When you are in your second trimester your heart is pumping more blood and blood pressure will go up. So it tends to make you dizzy and lightheaded which is why you probably fainted. I am 19 weeks and I get dizzy sometimes and my doctor told me this.

Blood sugar, stress... anything could cause something like that when you're pregnant.
I'd call the doctor asap just to be on the safe side.
