get a GOOD pair of shoes and start answering ads in the paper. If you want a higher end restaurant check out an employement service. or even a catering company for the experience.

Look in the classifieds of your local newspaper, and just go to the places you want to work at and ask if you can apply. Make sure you look good when you go in.
