take the distributor out of the engine. If you can not break it off without damaging the shaft take it to a parts place and replace it with either a rebuilt one or a new one and reinstall it in the engine.

When you remove the old distributor be sure you mark where the rotor is pointing so you can replace it to the same place. then time the engine per the required instructions.

Gearbox is correct! I hadn't thought of the wheel rotor for some reason...guess I am dating my self to older cars. What gerbox has said is correct.

There are two rotors on a car.. one for a brake and one that is used for a car's ignition system

Your car doesn't have the ignition rotor

Make sure there aren't two bolts holding the rotor to the hub as some Fords are held in with two screws on the face of the rotor

If not , lots of heat on the center of the rotor near the lug nuts and a big 8-10 pound at least sledge hammer on the backside of the rotor face should do it..while turning it a few inches every time you hit...

last resort is a skilled welder and a cutting torch.. or a new hub.. but the torch and back side should do it

I have had this happen many times and i know alot about brakes and rotors. Sometimes, you have to use a torch. Take the torch, and heat up the rotor, then take a malet and hit it hard. you may have to do this several times, but it will work. By heating up the rotor, your allowing the rotor particles to expand, which will eventually free the rotor. Hope this helps, good luck.
