It does go both ways but then again the percentage of people that hate blacks is way more larger than the percentage of people that hate whites, and you can see that for yourself just count the negative threds on here about blacks then about whites or wherever on the net. People dislike blacks because they are taught hatred it goes way back to slavery we have always been seen as second class citizens who were inferior to whites and the whites continue to pass this down to their children and the cycle never stops also the way that the media portrays us in music and television, there is lots of positive hip hop but do the white radio station owners request that it be played no, they put us on T.V. and make us talk ignorant when most of us don't talk like that and when one black person is seen acting ignorant or loud they sterotype all of us into that image, whites don't really have to worry about being sterotyped like blacks, usually black teenage boys that sag their pants are sterotyped as gang members but what about white boys that sag their pants and what about white men they are not sterotyped as serio killers or child rapist when the majority are white men. Also I think people feel this way about blacks because they don't take the time to get to know us. Belive it or not most blacks look at themselves in a negative way remember this is America and we are American while everyone else was getting brainwashed by television, newspapers, magazines and bulildboards we were too. Did you know that just a few years ago the news on T.V. started stating everyone color in a crime instead of just blacks, yes when a crime was committed the newscastors were quick to say black man if the perpertrator was black, but when the perpertrator was white they wouldn't state the race leaving everyone to think that they were black because thats the only race you heard when a crime was committed.

Racial hatred is based on being different, plain and simple.
I live on the edge of a large black community in New York City. It has one of the lowest per capita income rates, and one of the highest crime rates in the city. A lot of people in my mostly white community hate blacks, because they have either been the victims of black criminals or have had bad experiences with blacks. The culture of the blacks is very different from the whites here, and so the whites reject that culture.
Because of the multitude of social and economic problems facing the blacks here, a lot of the youth turn to crime to make money and gain status among their peers. Although most black crime is against other blacks, whites who are victims tend to stereotype blacks after such criminal attacks.

Some people dislike blacks because they are bigots, some dislike them because they have received racism from them, some dislike them because they were brought up that way, some black people deserve to be disliked, some don't. I know good and bad black people, I say dislike the person who deserves it because they are an ***, don't dislike because the color!

I think because people were raised a certain way, and now they are passing it on to other people. I think the biggest reason is because people think that black people are different that white people. But we are all the same!
Plus people just like being mean!

Ignorance is usually the big answer. That and fear ofwhat you don't know or understand.
Sadly, a lot of times it can be a learned behavior from friends and family.

There are just as many blacks that don't like whites.
It is ignorance on both sides.

Because they are ignorant.
As a side note, I don't believe you can be a Christian and a racist at the same time. If you are you should really read your bible more.

It is probably because they have been brought up prejudiced. I am not saying that they have been raised incorrectly, but they could have picked it up from their surroundings.
