Real friends let friends do what they want. Let love go into your cheerleading, don't worry about someone who hates you.

I'm sure that your friend does not hate you. She's probably very envious of you and it ends up coming across that she hates you. She probably wishes that she was a Cheerleader just like you.
Since she apparently isn't talking to you, may I suggest that you either (a) write her an e-mail or (b) write her a letter. Please ask her if, in some way that you are unaware of, that perhaps you've unintentionally hurt her, and if so, you'd at least like the chance to apologize and a chance to repair your friendship. If she doesn't respond, you know that you've tried on your end and now the rest is up to her. By asking if you owe her an apology, you've now basically opened the door for her, in a welcoming manner, since by now she may have had a change of heart and doesn't know how to begin speaking with you again. I'm sure that things will all work out and soon you'll be back together being friends.

Being a cheerleader does not define you as a person and your so called "friend" needs to understand this. Maybe she is jealous? Honestly, I suggest you just let her be and maybe when she grows up things will work out.

Your friend is being a really kewl friend cuz cheerleaders are losers and nobody wants to talk to losers!! Haha no im not trying to be mean but i dunno how its in the states but everyone in Canada makes fun of you if you are a cheerleader especialy in high school. My friends made up a really bad song about cheerleaders but i don't think you want to hear it! But whatever makes you happy :)(most skewl's in Canada don't have cheerleading cuz their annoyingggggggg)))))))))

Always be kind, but you can't do much more than that. If she's choosing to act immature about it, then you'll have to wait until she decides to grow up a bit before your friendship can go forward. Jealousy is destructive at every age and in every form. Just be there when she decides she's thrown her "tantrum" long enough.

i would think she is not much of a friend if she hates you for being a cheerleader. i would find friends that accept you for who you are, and not what you choose to participate in.

I DONT THINK SHE HATES YOU AS MUCH AS SHE HATES HERSELF FOR NOT MAKING THE TEAM!!!LOL:) IF SHE IS ON THE TEAM THEN SHE IS INTIMIDATED BY YOU.EITHER WAY JUST LEAVE HER ALONE FOR A WHILE AND DO YOU!!! THAT IS THE PATH THAT YOUR LIFE IS TAKEN FOLLOW IT AND DONT STOP FOR NO ONE.THERE ARE VERY FEW PEOPLE WHO WILL TRULY BE HAPPY FOR YOU A TRUE FRIEND WILL ALWAYS BE HAPPY FOR YOU.IF YOU IGNORE THE FACT THAT SHE STOP LIKING YOU BECAUSE YOU MADE THE TEAM THEN YOU MIGHT JUST WANT TO CUT HER OFF,BECAUSE EVEN IF YOU AND HER MAKE UP IT WILL STILL BE HER HEAD AND SHE IS GOING TO CATCH YOU SLIPPING!! She must be jealous... A real friend will like you no matter what you are, what you do , what you say. You need to tell her that she is not a true friend to make you give up something that you may like.
