NO!!! I have 2 Macs at home and LOVE them. I've had no trouble with them and their both over a year old. Plus now you can run PC products from them. Dells are good in price but my work computer is a Dell and I hate it. It's toooo slow. But you really get what you pay for...

Not really. Dell maybe the most popular but definetely not the best. I own an assembled PC and a Dell Desktop both are of same configuration like same memory and the processor speed. But my assembled pc outperforms dell. oh btw i live in india :)

I have a Dell and it does alright. I'm not disapointed, but I'm not thrilled about it. Alienware could be the best brand out there, but it is as expensive as a car.

I use HP. Dell tends to stuff your new computer with unneeded software and free trials of junk. HP gives you software bundled with your computer, too, but after testing them all, they can be PRETTY useful! Also, HP customer service is great and friendly.
Dell has better LCD screens, though, but you can just buy one.

I would say to get a MAC unless you are doing some hardcore gaming. Less Viruses.
