I started having random headaches a couple of weeks ago. My head would kinda hurt and then it would go away. I was treated about three months ago for elevated blood pressure and was taking meds to get it under control. Well since then I've lost 35 pounds and cut everything bad out of my diet, but the headaches just don't seem to be going away and have gotten more bothersome as the days go on. It is more like a pressure pain that is in the back and top of my head. I will have random throbbing pains in my temple and forehead. My BP has been excellent and I stopped taking the BP meds, but still the headaches remain. I've tried EVERYTHING!! Exedrin, Tylenol, Aleve, you name it. I've been to my doctor and she ordered a CT Scan. I'm kinda nervous. I've never had headaches like this before..

I work for a neurologist. It sounds like tension headache. Maybe you've been worried about your blood pressure etc. When you feel it coming on, try to relax, do some stretches, get someone to massage your back or scalp.

Did your physician instruct you to discontinue the BP medication?
I know that it is sometimes hard to wait for test results, especially when you are in pain.
